Its not really a motor but rather an actuator (24 volts) Best Wishes In a message dated 9/17/2013 6:08:54 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes:
After I tilt back, as I am coming back up, my chair just squeals loudly. My helper tried spraying all the moving areas with WD40, but it made no difference. She said the noise was coming from the tilt motor. There is no way to get inside it to spray. Do you think it needs lubed some how, or could it be battery related? I know my ceiling lift squeals just like that when it's battery is going dead. But my chair is not dead. Though I know the chair has 2 batteries. Not sure if 1 battery is for the driving and 1 for the tilt and reclining system. Or if they drain from both batteries together at the same time. Do you think I need a new tilt motor or new batteries? If it's batteries, it would probably cost me less to buy them myself at he battery store. Thanks, Greg
