This did happen to me a multitude of times. Did your nurse have to change
the catheter or was she able to get the flow going without changing it?

The times where mine has stopped flowing and there was no problems with
sediment, it was because the catheter had become attached to the wall of my
bladder and my bladder had atrophied so badly that this became a serious
problem for me. The advantage I had was I can feel when my bladder gets
backed up, so I can call for help much quicker.

This happened when I was in the wheelchair and in the bed. You can tell if
it is a problem with atrophy of the bladder is you can simply lift up the
bag or the tube and the catheter starts draining right away.
