I went for years with manual CHAIRS AND RUBBER RIMS ETC.. I now use a power assist quickie ex and will never go back. I have had the same chair and wheels for 6yrs now. I can push so easily and still move around with ease like manual.I think all quads who can push should have one. I have had no any problems at all with it. only new batteries to buy.
