I do not have a SP, I have a Foley. Wed. my primary Dr. sent me to the hospital. I came out of the hospital today. Not a great way to spend Thanksgiving. I had chills, fever, and was vomiting. After many tests it was found out that I had a UTI. It took that long to get the culture results from the lab as I had more than 1 infections. I did not know that you would vomit from a UTI. Now I have to be sure and drink lots of water to keep hydrated. One sign that I did not pay any attention to was that my urine stunk. So to all of you be sure and pay attention to your body. Now that is strange as SP are suppose to reduce or eliminate infections. Standing therapy helps to empty the bladder and reduces the chance of infections, as urine doesn't pool when standing.
