Guys,
I am upgrading my desktop, an HP Pavilion Elite with windows 7. It seems that every 3 years the combination of Windows and or the hardware goes belly up. I thought I could extend the PCs life by installing and SSD drive to replace/augment the 1 TB hard drive that came with this system. For 4 months this desktop ran faster and by faster I mean complete boot and Windows startup under 30 seconds. Dragon NaturallySpeaking the 12.5 and the rest of the programs were amazingly fast. Alas, either a virus attacked or the SSD hardware failed. Anyway, I believe an all-in-one PC with Windows 8 might be my next choice. My problem is finding a replacement for my Kensington 4 button trackball. Through trial and error I was able to use the device by installing a driver that was used in XP. I don't believe they'll be a driver for the device in Windows 8. Questions: Anyone running Windows 8 and if so what device are you using for a mouse? Anyone using a mouse touchpad? Thank you Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do! Billy
