Mostly it is important to keep off the pressure sore COMPLETELY. Not just
an hour here and there also eat lots of protein....nuts are a good snacking
food for extra protein. Good Luck, it took 6 months but mine finally
healed. Rose

Hi All,
I'm going to a new wound center (new to me) and was wondering if there are
any do's & don'ts when I go? This center is also one of the top burn units
in New Jersey.
I've had a stage 2 sore on my Ishium for over 3 months. Sometimes it Ozzis
clear then it bleeds. I know that bleeding is a good sign.
I got this sore September 25th after siting in a brand new chair for about
5-6 weeks. I we extremely active in this new chair because I was sooooo
very comfortable. I've only been up out of bed once since the above date.
On top of my mattress I lay on a Roho mattress which has served me well
(over 15 years) but now I believe it is time for an alternating pressure pad
with pump to put on top of my mattress. I've been doing quite a bit of
research on different brands and styles. Does anybody have any recommendations
or something to stay away from?
Bobbie ~ starting to go a little nuts here
