I've been in bed since December 2012. I've only been getting out of bed
into my chair once a month to go to the wound clinic. I use to hate being
in bed but have realized what the problem was that with my adaptive input
not setup to use from bed I couldn't do anything. Now that I can use the
computer from bed and control the tv/dvr using a slingbox, I can do
everything I would normally be doing from bed. No need to get dressed, do
transfers in and out of bed saving about an hour a day to do something else.

My would was small but deep. I was given the option of flap surgery but
that would require going to the hospital then a nursing home. No thanks. So
it's healing slowly, no infections. My nurses change the packing in the
wound daily.
