Hi All,
This afternoon we went to a burn/wound center at St. Barnabus medical center
in Livingston New Jersey, it is very renowned for their burn center and has a
helicopter pad for emergencies so you know that is an extremely good hospital.
The doctor I saw is the head of the burn/Wound Center. As soon as I looked in
his eyes I saw compassion empathy and intelligents, I think he was about 45–50.
He said my wound looked fantastic and prescribed Duadurm to put on a three days
a week, it is half the size of a dime at the end stage of a stage 2 wound,
perhaps less. The nurse, was a male nurse, seemed to be a bit cocky and
arrogant but ok, he was very informative and he knew his stuff.
I have to go back in 4 to 6 weeks, he feels it will be healed by then. He also
wants me to get up out of bed once a week for circulation and mental benefits.
After being in bed since September 25 hearing this news was like beautiful
spring day.
