My husband has had a suprapubic catheter since 2008. The pain is intense and is 24 seven. We can tell you everything that it isn't and everything that doesn't work to eliminate it. He is literally ready to die. And, he is well on his way. He is now down to 95 pounds in 6 foot three. The pain is too great and does not allow him to eat. It all got worse after a nerve block in December 2012. He takes gabapentin, alprazolam, oxycodone, marijuana, and baclofen for it. This is a man who never touched a drug in his life prior to all of this.
