Just throwing this out there as a FYI

If anyone has had a urinary diversion or bladder augmentation and has developed
chronic diarrhea as a result of the surgery, I have a solution.  I take
Cholestyramine (Questran), a powder mixed with water that is primarily used to
lower cholesterol.  I have had very few embarrassing accidents since I started
taking it.  I realy like the fact that the dosage is easy to adjust, so if I
get loose stool or constipation I can take more or less to regulate my bowels.

I had my Urostomy surgery back in 1999 the very same that is described below.
Two times I had a open sore under neither what is called the "stoma" and it was
difficult to heal . . . but I did.

I've been away for a couple of days in the hospital, but I'll probably write
about that in a few days. This was part of the procedure that they did on the
almost 2 years ago. It was part of my urostomy. The name is a little bit longer
and I don't have it in my voice profile, but what they ended up doing was
expanding the volume of my bladder, attaching a portion of my intestine to my
bladder and running it up through my abdomen and creating a stoma to the right
of my belly button.
