I usually take two oxy 40's and two percocet 500's per day. I still hurt terribly and for the last two weeks I've broken out in hives every time I take one. Can't win.

I don't think I could function without them, especially the first two hours of the day. I do have a lot more pain than I used to, but I am 62 so it could just be aging. I don't know that meds induce pain, but they certainly magnify it. A small pain feels bigger. I guess you could call it rebound pain. I know that doesn't answer the question, but that's my story.......and I'm sticking to it. :) ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: *[email protected] <javascript:_e(%7B%7D,'cvml','[email protected]');>* < [email protected] <javascript:_e(%7B%7D,'cvml','[email protected]');>> Date: Thursday, March 27, 2014 Subject: [QUAD-L] Pain medicine To: quad-list <[email protected]<javascript:_e(%7B%7D,'cvml','[email protected]');> > I heard Dr. Sanjay Gupta say that pain medicine over time induces pain. I always suspected that was true but never heard a Dr. admit it. I have noticed it myself. I am not judging anyone here but what are your experiences? Do you feel that pain medicine can can induce pain? Or is it just tolerance? I use Pennsaid 1.5% every single day for pain in my neck & lower back ... it works extremely well for me. Pennsaid cost $200 per bottle, it lasts me about 1 1/2 months. Bobbie Smile Everyday
