I bought this opener for beer bottles or root beer. You just put it over the top of the bottle and gently push down. Top pops off, no messing your teeth up. They have a cheaper model that's not stainless steel also. I am liking it. You can see more of it on popmytopoff.com, but I just bought mine on ebay. ron
