Interesting Question. There is no correct answer. There is no best answer. That room, with all the new people, could be filled with some people who intend to harm you, injure you, steal from you and take advantage of you. On the other hand, as you mentioned, the room could be filled with total strangers that offer you great opportunities, without threatening your security.
