I know a lot of you read ebooks. Have you ever looked at booksee.org ?
It has like 80% of all books I looked for, including newer books. All free.
I can find nothing about it online. I only found the site when searching Google for a book and it came up there. I do have concerns about the safety of the site. It looks to be an Eastern European site. After showing the title you searched for, they start listing listing them in funky letters.
When searching a book/author I add epub or it lists too many option. If the book you want says "downloading unavailable" it often does still list it, if you keep scrolling down.
It also might have it in other formats. .pdf are always too small, the text can not be resized. It often has .fd2 or something like that. But I don't feel safe downloading a Russian formate even if it's in English.
Can an .eub have malware, etc?
It shows only downloading the epub book, could it slip in another file and execute it?
Mcafee does not find anything.
Thanks, Greg
