Dear Judy, I was stunned when my friend told me that Robin Williams was dead. It felt like I had lost a friend. Then I found out that he died by committing suicide. Please join Care2 in remembering Robin Williams. Share your fondest memories of Robin Williams in the comments by August 18, and your name will be added to a card thanking suicide hotline volunteers. Robin Williams was an incredible comedian, actor, and philanthropist. I'll never forget his iconic and touching roles. Personally, as a child with divorced parents, I'll always remember watching him play a dad pretending to be a nanny just to see his children in Mrs. Doubtfire . And Robin Williams gave us more than a good show: he devoted much of his energy to charity work. He organized comedians to perform for charity and raised awareness for earthquake disaster and medical research for childhood illnesses. I had no idea until his death that he suffered from depression and addiction. I hope you'll take a moment to share and celebrate your memories of Robin Williams.
