Being in Phoenix I'd do it, not so sure if I was in Seattle, maybe on a sunny day.

I'd recline first, so my chair did not get wet. I got it wet once and it blow up some electronics.

Do it... If your chair does not recline, maybe have someone tip you chair back and hold it.
