no, you have to rinse each bag. i've been doing it for 24 yrs. we use distilled
water and distilled vinegar. when one is not in use, always wrap the end. we
open the individual alcohol swabs, insert the end & twist it so nothing can
contaminate while not in use. i use a new leg bag once a week. i hope i didn't
make this sound confusing. if you're interested, i can make it more clear in a
e-mail.

I used to use a leg bag during the day, but had to have a Foley catheter put in
about 2 years ago. I was told unplugging the overnight bag and replacing it
with a leg bag every day would leave me a lot more susceptible to urinary tract
infections.

Mine is just a simple black fleece bag with a draw string, so each side of the
string ties to the top of each foot rest. I'll try to take pictures

Those of you who use some kind of bag to hide your overnight drainage bag
behind the leg rest of your wheelchair, can you give me an idea of the kind of
bag you use? I had purchased a messenger bag on eBay, don't think it's going to
work, was a lot smaller than it looked in the picture. We appreciate any advice
on the kind of bag you use.

I put the whole tube in the bag and what is left out just hides behind the bag.
It's kind of tricky but it works.

I have a black piece of fabric that has Velcro on both sides. Basically it
encompasses the tube and you can't really tell the difference between the
cushion in the tube.

A while back there had been some discussion about hiding an overnight drainage
bag behind the foot rest on a wheelchair. I ordered a messenger bag with the
hopes that I can somehow hang it underneath/behind the feet rest and hide the
drainage bag inside. For those who do this, how do you hide the tube?
