There are certain similarities that affect all of us. The primary one is autonomic disreflexia. Another is the nonfunctional it of all the hormone glands beneath the brain. The nervous over reaction that we experience yet we usually cannot link it to a specific event. Inability to heal what are often trivial wounds. I'm sure others can think of other strange things quads deal with that are virtually unheard of by the majority of the medical community. Depression is on the list, but where does it rank? Anyone who has had the loss of normal reality that quads suffer would be either insane or lying if they told you that depression wasn't part of quadriplegia. I've sometimes felt depression gave me the ability to make it through anxiety attacks. I simply tell myself it's a good day to die and go on. It has been 39 years since I was first told I wouldn't make it 72 hours. I truly despise the moron that teaches the medical personnel that we must meet on every misadventure we have that requires a visit to a hospital. I'd rather they taught nothing about quads than be formally taught the rumors and uneducated BS that I have read in some med books. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm on a rant but I'm not. I'm being direct. If other quads would like to say I am wrong, I can accept their critique. I know we experience differences in intensity which may make our truths seem different. Does this include medical coverage? How many hours of care one person needs depending on their level of injury. For example, I require a lot more work than a quadriplegic who has more returned and I do. This may sound high, but if your factory and loss of income and a lot of other things including care, it could be more than 10,000 a month. Q On Monday, April 27, 2015, Thomas E. There are so many different levels of Quads, hence the difference is cost to maintain and service. Honestly, this drives lawyers crazy as they are often asked to submit maintenance costs for an person with a C4-5 injury. Could you be more specific?
