I became a C2 ventilator dependent quad 26 years ago today due to transverse myelitis. Woke up with a sore shoulder, about 2 hrs later the pain got worse. I suddenly, in a matter of about 15 minutes, could not stand then stopped breathing. Next thing I remember is being the hospital unable to move or speak. Jim
