I used to wear them religiously, but then I had a little difficulty with skin integrity on my heel. You have to watch them for any degradation in the padding. I still wear them occasionally when I feel like my Achilles tendon is allowing my foot to drop a little too much.
I wear something akin to the new Sketcher's (spelling) steel toe work shoes. They really helped my feet and I find that wearing a simple bunny boot is sufficient when I go to bed to protect my delicate heels.
