True, Like Dianna and others said, It depends on whom you hire and what they
are willing to do as a live in caregiver.....In my area sleeping rooms alone go
for an average of $100-$150 each week, So you figure that person can save at
least $600 per month on rent, Plus they will not need to pay utility bills if
you do, so they save that way also,After figuring that stuff in, then you need
to write a list of all you want done and see how much cash they want on top of
the free live in home, Like Dianna said if they just want pay under the table,
they usually take a bit less, but you need to work out a monthly pay for them
that you can both be happy with. Good luck, let us know how it works out when
you get it all set up down the road. Dan H.***

no one can answer this question. it has a realm of questions in itself
and the individual your hiring. will they have a $400.00 car paymnt, insurance,
other expenses such as clothing. are you paying them under the table or will
they need to pay taxes? i'm going to chime in at $2,000 a month. now anyone
NEEDING a place to stay just might be the one you can't depend on. could also
depend on where you live.

Those with live-in attendants, other than room and board, how much
do you pay them?

And what is asking too much for them to do?
If they work weekdays, when food shopping, is asking them to get
groceries for weekend too much?
Or when making dinner, adding more for a live-in failmy member too
much?
As far as cleaning, what's too much? Keeping cupboards and frig
cleaned out?
            Wiping floors off,
Things have changed over the years, I need more, but can't afford
to pay more.
But I've ask for so little over the years, asking for more now is
like askig for a lot more, even though it still seems less than other quads
probably ask for.

I'd like to find out what others pay for live-in help. Not hourly,
just monthly.

Don't know. But I do know it's considerably more than I could possibly afford.
Don't want to be a downer, but there is no easy answer to quad life, unless you
are wealthy. Would all the quad millionaires please raise your hand! Not all at
once now! Might overload the net!

I'd like to know as well, having been paying $13 an hour for
caregivers but thinking of moving back home and hiring live-in help. Will not
ask them to pay room and board and will buy all groceries, but would be curious
to know what someone would need to be paid monthly if housing and meals are
taken care of. ROGER
