That's how I sit at my church in Bridgeton,Mo. Ron...I sit on either end and if
i'm in the aisle too much, we just take out one of the detachable type chairs
our church uses to help me fit in better, we have one or 2 others in chairs and
a couple  that use walkers there. We visited friends at Faith Family church a
few times in Earth City.........Man that place is a mega church with several
screens or the platform to watch and they had tons of room, i bet they could
fit in a bus load of people in chairs, lol.

This large church I attended a few years back tried to make me sit in the
"wheelchair" section of church so I could see better. I will not sit in any
particular section due to my color or disability. I made sure to sit on the far
end of the seats so I don't block anyones view. I ended up meeting a great girl
there and we did many things together. If I would have sat in the wheelchair
section I would have never met that girl. People need to understand that people
using a chair have the same wants and needs as anyone else. We have the same
human value as anyone else sucking air.

You' don't see many wheelchairs around truly successful churches.  And AIDS
kills more straight people than gays. Splain God to me again.  I've always
avoided anyone that thinks god takes an active roll in people's lives.  Best

My, Christian, Aunt told me when I was first injured "If you REALLY believe in
God ... he would make me walk." I seriously wanted to tell her off but held my
tongue.
Then years later her husband said "God created AIDS to get rid of gays." I
couldn't hold my tough then.   Bobbie

What you guys are saying reminded me of a nurses aide when i was in St.Johns
Hospital during rehab...He would tell us Quads that we don't try to move our
legs and body hard enough, He told me if it were him Paralyzed he could
guarantee he would not stay like me because he would try so hard to make his
legs hands and body work that he would get full function back again....I told
him my spine and spinal cord were completely severed in my car accident and
docs said I can't recover  more than my c-6 level....he told me that is bull
and that us Quads just don't make enough effort. I really liked  the guy but he
was dead wrong on that judgement because i think most all of us have tried our
rear ends off.  Dan H**

snowflakes, they are all different."  I sometimes feel offended when some
person who has a different injury than mine and much more support than I have
is presented in the news as a role model. The TV show seem to present the idea
that the reason this person is overcoming their difficulties is because of
their strength of character and positive mental attitude and persistence. The
implication is: the rest of us just are not trying hard enough and have a bad
attitude.  The reality is: some of us are having a pretty rough go of it. But
nobody wants to see a story about that on television.  Dave Krehbiel  From:

Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Old  I was told once that if you cry you will cry alone.
These special quads have learned the art of giving people what they want to see
and hear and cry at home behind closed doors. It has allowed them to be a roll
model and receive support. The one thing that all super quads have is
support.......they have much family, friends, checkbook, donations, caregivers.
The average quad just doesn't have all that behind them and sadly the disabled
community is more like I have it and you don't rather than helping every
disabled individual get the support they need. There isn't anything fair about
how things are dolled out to help the disabled. Its who you know, are you worth
spending money on (Voc Rehab) and the sqeaky wheel gets the oil.  Ron    On
