I have had the same thing. I cannot fall asleep until 1to3am. Then tired
through the day.(I am so tired that my caregiver comes in, caths me and
does range of motion while I sleep the whole time.and my legs are stiff
in morning)
I have thyroid problems and sleep apnea. The girl that tested me said I
was on of worse cases.
I cannot sleep with the mask. I tried many.
I have a new mask coming and doc gave my ambien to take. I really hate
taking another pill but if it can help me sleep with mask, I'll try it.
I live by myself and it is hard getting comfortable after spasms. I'm
cold, then get hot. Pillow slides off bed. I have a remote fan now if I
get hot.
if you have not tried these.try them
-turn off all computers/tv hour before in bed
-get in told darkness
-no alcohol / night cap..
-no caffeine after 2pm
-no food hours before sleep
-some foods, teas may help you fall asleep

For the past 3 months I cannot sleep at night. I’m wide awake at 10 pm
and simply can’t sleep. Stopped taking sleeping pills altogether
because they work for about a week and then stop working. I cannot get
comfortable, have anxiety, but then during the day I am frequently
tired and falling asleep in therapy. My caregiver is about ready to
put me in a home. Doctor has suggested a sleep study. Has anyone else
experienced this with quadriplegia? I am an incomplete C3 nearly two
years post-injury.
