I have a lot of UTIs and I have been told by infectious disease doctors at KU
medical center that these drugs are usually not effective because we become we
become immune to them. I have been on several daily antibiotics. I have been in
the hospital 4 times in the hospital since November with UTIs.

Hi Dr. Ron and Sharon, I have not had the pleasure of knowing you on the list,
it is nice to meet you.

I am not aware with your level of disability and years post.
because I have not been reading it a lot lately. I have been in the hospital
and out so many times. Oral medications do not work on me anymore for UTIs. I
have to go in the hospital for at least three day, Before the culture grows and
they put me on a IV and then send me home with a midline or pic line. I then
had home health to change the dressings and do bloodwork.
I do take a probiotic called Proural that a urologist told me to take more than
a year ago. I order it online. I don't know if it helps, but he advised it
after I've had 3 lithotripsy's for kidney stones. I had a fourth one in
November 2015.
