I have been injured for 36 1/2 years [37 years post this October] and my
hemorrhoids began shortly before 1997 and have only gotten worse. I began
using hemorrhoids cream right after my suppository routine. Because I began
to have non-systemic UTIs [bladder pain and no fever] and after losing my
husband who took care of me so well... I switched over to using hemorrhoids
wipes every morning before having to sit on my butt all day long.

My hemorrhoids are still quite big [I have now seen photos of them] and
they were bothering me before my husband passed away but ever since I began
to use the hemorrhoids cream and then the wipes every morning... that
solved the problem. I wish I had found that problem before my husband
passed away but I thought it was my new chair because my old chair [along
with the same cushion] did not get me those bad feelings most of the day
which was ruining my days.

36 1/2 years post with more than my share of medical problems including 3
bad wounds between 2001 and 2009... two of them caused by medical
"professionals.."
My latest problem is unprecedented and we are trying to get to the bottom
of it. Very very very bad leaking around my Foley catheter that began after
a nurse blew up the balloon in my urethra and it sat there for 45 minutes
before she was able to come back and put another one in. Then after that
another nurse did not put enough water in balloon and it slid out
stretching my urethra even more and things have not yet recovered despite
taking extended release oxybutynin, etc. so I am scheduled for a cystoscopy
on July 6 although even my urologist that I have had since 2006 [and
removed bladder stones for me in 2006 and 2012] does not know if the damage
can be repaired. We are hoping to have IV antibiotics help along with
another bladder spasm medication and if none of that works I may have to
have my meatus surgically closed. All of this medical incompetence happened
over a period of just three months and that would have not happened had my
husband been here to help change the catheter a like he always did and then
after he passed away I did not have any nurse who did that to me. Yes, I
contacted an attorney but he gave me the reasons why he or any other lawyer
would not take my case not because after 36 1/2 years of having a Foley
catheter... leaking is not surprising. But it is new for me!!! I am beside
myself with losing my husband and then living with family for 3 years but
them asking me to "move on" and now that I am out on my own... all of that
negligence or carelessness with the Foley catheter changes in a period of
three months occurred and has ruined my life because things have only
gotten worse. All of this is absolutely unbelievable.
