I am disabled and have been using DragonDictate {now NaturallySpeaking}
since I first got her back in 1993. As far as I can see anything that you
could do with DragonDictate you can still do with NaturallySpeaking. It
still has the MouseGrid command that was there in the earlier versions of
Dragon dictate after Windows 95 came out. There are also other parts of the
program that will let you use your mouse without having to use the
MouseGrid. Such as you can say "display numbers" and the computer will put a
number on every single thing on the computer screen that is clickable with
the mouse. Then all you have to say is the number. It is now called DPI 14
{Dragon professional individual 14} and it can be purchased for $300. A very
good place for you to go to get an answer about your problems moving the
mouse would be "

The people on this forum are very very knowledgeable about all the stuff and
should be able to help you out was whatever you need.

Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] I'm looking for a better way to click a mouse button

It's a shame, Dragon started out as dragon dictate and was developed for
people with disabilities. The original price tag $9000. When the price
dropped to around $1000, my uncle bought it for me. It worked great for
hands free computer operation. Then they switched away from computer
operation for the disabled to dictation for the masses. I get that. The
later is a much larger market. Still, I wish they'd stayed true to their
original product.

Right now I'm using Dragon NaturallySpeaking, and for me the most tedious

I would like to deliver a presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint or
something similar, and I would like to have some sort of a hardware option
to click a mouse. ( I would probably either shut off the Dragon
NaturallySpeaking microphone or exit the program before delivering the
presentation.)

Is there anyway I can use one of my existing micro switches? Maybe modify a
standard mouse, removing the ball and trying to enlarge the mouse button?
Any ideas or suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks so much, and take care,
