It worked…….looks a lot less red today. Only used 1 pillow to prop my feet up to lessen pressure too.
Slept with my feet up on a wedge for 8 years, guess my luck ran out. You need the sore to be in the open area and not touching anything From: Nichole Rohling Sent: Thursday, December 15, 2016 4:16 PM To: 'Annette Storesund' Subject: RE: [QUAD-L] Pressure Sore Just curious how big around did you cut the hole out? It works for me. Good luck! One of my caregivers noticed last night I am getting another one. I am pretty sure it’s from laying on my back in bed. I prop my feet up and my pillow top has a deep indention where my butt is. I do have a air bed on top of the mattress. I can’t lay on my side because my catheter doesn’t drain. Suggestions please on how you would relieve pressure on this area. Home health nurse left me aquacell to put on it but they are 6 x 6 ……..she said just cut them but that leaves 2 edges that aren’t sealed and I thought you weren’t suppose to put that directly on an open sore?
