I made the mistake of using my real name for the list. Somebody I know was 
searching my name via google and found some info they didn't like and it was 
bad. I didn't realize years ago there was the ability to look at all previous 
quad posts. Now I watch what I post.

I used to use AOL years ago and would get kicked off from time to time and 
would sign up again but now I have yahoo and seldom have a problem anymore .

you could get a free gmail account and either:

forward your gmail to your aol email
use gmail to retrieve your aol email.

I use gmail as my main email and have it setup to get my mail from aol, 
hotmail, msn and comcast accounts via pop3. I found gmail has better spam 
filters.
