Bobbie... Thank you SO much for sharing that information!
Am afraid we all have to go through the rigamo to simply get a part for our chairs when these parts are really very inexpensive and do not take that long to get (if done right) yet we have to have a prescription to have it done and go through what you went through and then still have to pay out of pocket if it isn't covered by any insurance. I remember wanting to get a more comfortable backing when I was living in Pennsylvania after my husband's passing and a guy came out several times but they just couldn't find anything that was comfortable for me and my scoliosis and back pain. It should have been addressed when the chair was ordered and delivered in September of 2011 but it didn't happen. Then my husband died and my life took a turn that I never expected so quickly. You wouldn't believe what I had to go through last year just to get new tires. Thanks again!!! ~Lori On Fri, Dec 29, 2017 at 2:31 PM, Bobbie Humphreys < [email protected]> wrote: > Johnny & Lorie, > I couldn't stand the pain from my scoliosis anymore and > had heard of other quads getting a molded back and LOVING it. 4 years ago, > when I got my new chair, I going to get fitted for one but I was tired of > being manipulated so I declined. > > In August 2017 I went to see my GP I asked him for an Rx for a molded back > for my chair and told him it was because of my scoliosis. > > With Rx in hand I called my wheelchair vender and asked if I could make an > appointment for a molded back August 24th I went to Kessler, where my > venter works out of, and was assessed and approved?
