AZ is one of the few states that Fire and EMTs can give IVs. Once they
filled my tanks (I meant filled me up with fluids) I was very
dehydrated, my BP went back up and heart rate back down. I was lots
better. This is maybe the 5^th or 6th time they did this since I moved here.
Their rule is, you can refuse help, but if they do anything like an IV
and you don’t get better, they can take you to ER. But if you show you
are better, you don’t have to go.
Since dehydration is so common here, it helps a lot that they can do
IVs. I just promise to go in if I feel worse. By now I know when its
from dehydration. For me its almost always when its cold out. I drink to
much coffee / tea.

Something does not found right here with what happened to you. When an
ambulance is called in your BP was that low... they usually take you
to the hospital in case things get worse for whatever reason. And I
guess it did with your EKG showing that you were in A-Fib. Then
getting an IV in and filling up your tanks with I'm assuming oxygen. I
have never called an ambulance with information like that that they
are finding and them NOT, for safety and so they do not get in trouble
if something further happens to you, taking you to the local hospital
at least for a few hours.
I drink hottish water all the time and especially did when I lived in
the Northeast. Get over it or drink tea (which is also considered
"free water") or you will end up in the hospital.

I was so dizzy today, I tried taking my BP, but it just kept
saying error. I could not sit up and my chest was pounding. We
called 911. They tried taking my BP and got 50/- and 24/-. They
could not get a bottom number. Plus the EKG showed I was in A-Fib.
It took them a number of tries, but finely they were able to get
an IV in.Filled up my tanks and I was ok. My problem, is when
its cold out, I hate drinking anything but Tea and Coffee, both
diuretics. I guess I need Green Tea or Herbal Tea.
