Today marks 33 years since my transverse myelitis onset. I woke up with a
pain in my shoulder. Two hours later I could not remain able to stand and
then stopped breathing. I have been paralyzed from the neck down and
dependent on a ventilator to breathe to keep me alive ever since. I am
otherwise in great health and not in pain, so life is good.
