I got one in 2019. It took some trial and error to find the right bags that work for me. But now that I’ve figured that out, I absolutely love it!! I hate the bowel program and I use to have so many invols. I don’t even think about it anymore. I can eat anything, I’m not on a schedule. Body image was an issue but the benefits of the colostomy far outweigh it. Like Nicki said, I wish I had gotten it sooner.
