Several options. You can clock chip it to 40mhz, which wouldn't take much. If you don't care about the DOS card, you can swap the motherboard for just about any of the 5200/5300/6200/6300 class boards, and if you don't put much on it, one of the 6400/6500/5400/5500 boards. I have mine at a 6214 board right now just because it's handy. I've tried my 6500 board and it works fine, but I've heard there are some PSU issues if you put lots of stuff on the board. >2) Depending on how I upgrade, what are my best options for ethernet >connectivity? Comm Slot or PDS or is it built-in in some of the PPC 6xxxs? Not built onto any of those. With the stock P640, a comm slot card is in order, especially if you keep the DOS card. With the x200 and x300 machines, either a Comm Slot 1 or PDS card will work. With the x400 and x500 boards, you'll probably still want a comm slot II card as PCI cards can be hard to fit in the things. That, and since you'll only be able to fit one PCI card, it would be better used for USB or the like than ethernet. 10/100 csII cards are extremely expensive, though. 10B-T cards are affordable. >3) If I upgrade to a new motherboard, is there still a capability to insert >a tuner card?
