The StyleWriter II appeared after System 7.1, and requires a newer Chooser. The SW II software disks will install this newer Chooser (v. 7.3) in 7.1 (and 7.0) Systems, but if you just copy the SW II driver into a 7.1 System Folder it won't have the Chooser it needs. I can send you the SW II compatible Chooser if you need it, along with other SW II info you might find useful. (The SW II remains a favorite printer for use with older Macs, and since Apple never made the SW II manual available as a PDF, I created a basic instruction sheet in SimpleText, with pictures.)
