To be honest, I really don't remember, since it wasn't very important at the time. I was quite happy to continue running OS 8.1 on this machine, but I have thought recently that running 7.5 or 7.6 might be a little better from a performance standpoint. Too many other Mac (and non-PC) projects on the go right now, but sometime in the near future I will look at it again...
