CAT 5 String ..... I am a network engineer and have been for 11 years and have made innumerable network cables for CAT-5, TOKEN RING, Thin-net and thick-net and I have yet to break anything by wiring the fiddly little CAT-5 buggers up wrong and I must have managed about every possible combination in my time. The voltages are so low and the tolerances are generally so high that I cannot see an incorrectly cabled bit of string can cause problems if the two ends are plugged into network devices. I must admit though I have not tried to break a "Ying-Yang" wonder card as I usually stick to branded stuff.
