Yes, and I finally found a modern optical mouse the other day that works 
with ADB. By modern, I mean it doesn't require a special reflective pad.

It's called the Kensington Mouse-in-a-Box USB/ADB and ranges in price 
from about $18 to $30 online. This is the only modern optical mouse I've 
ever heard of that uses ADB, and based on my experience with other 
Kensington mice, it should be a winner.
