This is true. I have roughly 2000 floppies (this is just 3.5" floppies) and very few have failed me. In fact, I check my Macs via floppies from CMS Enhancements, Inc, (only one of those disks claims to be bad but its for a machine I don't have anyway )Mac TV, LC 520, Color Classic)). Plus, floppies let me save stuff on the PCs at school and then bring it home with me.
