They are both LC520 form factor so I'm guessing it will be a clean swap. Change the cable and the drive. A IDE cable can be purchased from anywhere. Rather cheaper than SCSI or pull one from a old pc.
The 580 was introduced on the 3 of april 1995, the same day the 575 was discontinued.
