Bob, IIRC, you first install Apple's compatibility software, available here: http://www.info.apple.com/support/oldersoftwarelist.html#doswin You want PC Setup 1.0.2, NOT 1.6.4 (which is for later DOS compatibility cards). Then, you need to partition the PC hard drive. Boot the PC with a DOS startup diskette, and type this at the A:/ prompt: FDISK Follow the instructions on-screen to create and set a primary DOS partition. Next, format the hard drive to include the DOS system software: Format C: /S You should now be able to run the Windows 3.1 installer. On my 6100 DOS compatible, Command-E ejects a diskette and Command-Y ejects a CD. I don't know if Windows 98 will work. I wasn't able to install it on my 6100 DOS compatible. Windows 95 did work. Good luck, and please let us know how it turns out. Bob G. -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
