There's a huge number of sites pertaining to Sad Mac
Codes:

http://www.macintoshmagician.com/MacOS_Rocks/mac/sadMac.html
http://home.iprimus.com.au/swoz/Sad_Mac_Codes.html

-- a lot of other rip-off sites with the same info as
the ones above.

0000000F means an incompatability in h/w test, but not
saying what for copyright and future (old) reasons.
This code probably means that the system can not work
with something due to a bad version or, in this case,
a bad version has been read, returning $0C, which
means "nothing", barely getting off a single beep (RAM
installation failure). I see that you've already
fixed the problem -- (RAM with ribbon cable?!).

Aren't old Quadra Macs better than old 386 PCs?
