Does anyone know how to find a copy of OS 7.5.1? At apple.com I only see 7.5.3 and newer. When I try to load this on a Quadra 650, I get a message saying this is too new for this Mac.
I have a Q650 running OS 8.1, no problem. It will certainly run OS 7.5.3 fine.
What you might be running into is that the OS you booted on is too old. This can happen if you boot off the hard disk and try to run the installer. You probably need to put the installer on floppies to be able to boot from it.
