Hello Patratto,
I believe you are describing the ethernet port - older style designed to
support the AAUI exchange - if so, you're lucky indeed - this was supposed
to be "optional" on the Centris 610. To use it today, you need to get a
transceiver, a little cable'like adapter that hooks into this port on the
Mac end and is an RJ-45f (for 10BaseT) jack on the other end.
