Dale,
When it boots, I suspect it's quirky in operation?

Does it boot (even sometimes) w/ extension off, but if you try full load you
get either a SCSI bus error or just the old question mark and no boot?

Does it boot (more reliably) IF you have an external device plugged in and
terminated (not trying to boot from the external, just have it connected and
running)?

Outside of not working (and hating IBM drives for the moment :-) what is the
most consistent symptom the HD exhibits?
