Okay, the book says the 840 has 4 Mb built-in RAM plus four RAM slots for up
to 128 Mb in interleaved pairs (ideally).
I just popped in a new 32 Mb stick and booted up to read a total of 32 Mb of
RAM. What am I missing here? I would think the total would read 36 Mb?
I'm filling the RAM slots I think! There are four with a shorter stick of
RAM at one end which must be the 4 Mb? The other bank of slots contains
four sticks of what must be video RAM? Wish I had a diagram of the mobo on
this thing!
I'm confused. Someone please add to my erudition on this topic! ;-)
