I've been reading this thread kind of in surprise. Even though I've used PC's since maybe '85 or '86, when I started using a Mac my initial response was "wow, I could probably give this to my mother and she wouldn't break it." Really, there's a lot less trouble one can get into experimenting on a Mac than on a Windows/DOS machine -- at least I thought.
