Dear Quadraphiles: I have been using iCab Pre2.71 on an off now for a couple of weeks, and I think it's a pretty decent browser. It seems very stable: it will deal readily with things that will almost invariably crash Netscape 4.08 on my Q950. My Q950 is currently runnning on OS 7.6.1. I am running iCab with a 12,600K Memory partition, and the browser cache on a RAM disk.
But it does seem to be a bit slower than either Netscape 4.08 or IE 3.01. It is especially slow when loading pages such as eBay's Checkout or Billpoint payment pages (am I right in guessing that's due to the more intensive JavaScript on such pages?)
