Thanks to those with suggestions on my serial port problem! I tried a little program called SerialSetter and it worked great.
One other question: maybe I'm thick, but one thing I've always hated about the Mac interface is not being able to view my desktop without first clearing away all open folders. Have tried Greg's Browser and it's pretty good but not as stable on my system as I'd like. Does anyone use anything else that's easy, elegant, and stable?
