No way it'll fit a 475 then, there is little enough clearance on a 1/3
height drive. You could always use it with the lid off but watch you
don't catch the drive or the CPU, it *burns*.... I'd also be scared that
the power supply would be a bit limp and the power for the hard disk is
wired through the logic board so bew careful - best stick to the IIci.

I had a Micropolis 4.1 GB unit of similar proportion and it sounded like
a 747 jet engine and weighed as much as a 475 without it's disk drives.
It died sadly, the spindles jammed solid and it wouldn't spin up. I
think it over-heated the drive power circuits trying to spin them and
blew something small on the circuit board. I have taken all the bolts
out of the casing but can't get it off. I'll have another try sometime
and take a picture of the insides for y'all. And before you all scream
woe at me it really is definitely 110% dead.

Yuh, the power supply. pickle - is this in the FAQ? It seems stupidly
simple but many ppl don't know what it means....

Yay, I need one of those for my IIci so I can drive it around the
house ;).
