I had tho HP HDs in a Dynatek enclosure that died, because the power drain
killed the power supply.
If it responds to SCSI commands, the controller board is probably good and
receives 5 volts. If the drive does not spin, it maybe is not getting the
12-volt part of the supply. If you have a voltmeter, check if the 12-volts is alive...
